Target Public Relations has today been short listed for a Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) award for the agency's work supporting the county following the floods
in 2007.
Funding for this activity was secured from the South West Regional Development Agency (SWERDA) to support the county's tourism.
Target's campaign broke in early October – ready for half term – with a series of radio ads, microsite, 4-page, full-colour pull-out supplements and advertising in the Gloucestershire Echo,The Citizen and The Forester . PR activity included the launch of a new blend of Gloucestershire Tea and regional pub quiz designed to promote awareness of what's great about the region.
Target is up against 4 other finalists in this category and the winners will be announced by the CIPR on Friday 7 November.
However, Chris Dee, tourism manager, Cotswold/Forest of Dean DMO clearly thinks Target is a winner: "Target impressed us with their speed of response, creativity and enthusiasm. They worked as though they were part of the team and went that extra mile – producing results beyond expectations."
