news archive Short list double for Target PR

Target Public Relations has been short listed for two awards by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) following successful PR campaigns for Powergen and games company Ginger Fox.

The 'Britain's Most Energetic Boss' campaign promoted Powergen's key message of 'positive energy' and invited employees around the UK to nominate their boss as the country's most energetic. The campaign also caused employees to reflect upon their own 'positive energy'.

Target's head of PR Sarah Bryars, said: "The 'Britain's Most Energetic Boss' campaign was executed very effectively and received coverage through both newspapers and radio, providing the opportunity to reach a potential 3.7 million people."

The 'Game On' campaign promoted the interactive DVD family racing games made by Ginger Fox for John Lewis.

"Although 'Game on!' ran at one of the most competitive times of the year, we achieved excellent newspaper, radio and television coverage in the run up to Christmas," commented Sarah Bryars. "The ultimate sign of our success was when John Lewis ran out of the games and ordered more."

Earlier this year, Target PR celebrated winning a gold CIPR award for the 'Switch Off at Lunchtime' campaign also on behalf of Powergen, a company of E.ON.

Target PR has won CIPR awards every year since it began in 1996. As a specialist division of full-service agency Target Marketing Communications – an unusually broad range of skills are available to clients throughout the UK.
