news archive On Target for Business Development

Cheltenham-based Target Marketing Communications has appointed Annie Abbott as business development director as part of an ongoing strategy for growth. Annie will work alongside Penny Sindall, business development consultant, to bring additional resource to the company's long term development.

Annie joins Target from graphic design agency Blue i, where she spent four years in a business development and account handling role, working with clients including L'Oreal, Kraft, Halo Foods and Sun Valley Foods.

With a career in sales and business development spanning a range of sectors from training to telecoms, medical and recruitment, it is the creative industries where Annie's great interest lies.

"I gain real enjoyment from working in a creative environment", said Annie. "That's what is so exciting about joining an integrated marketing agency like Target. The team has a strong reputation for creating successful campaigns for clients – whether in advertising, direct mail or public relations."

"I'll be working closely with the team to ensure that existing clients and new prospects understand the range of expertise available to them from Target, as well as thinking about how we can best match our skills to clients' needs."

Colin Spencer, chief executive at Target added: "Annie has great relevant experience and brings added emphasis to our business development programme. This is an exciting time for Target as we push forward for growth, maximising the skills of a very talented team."
